NDIA provides perspectives from the Defense Industrial Base as the Department of Defense modernizes how it acquires the systems and services that equip America’s warfighters.
For decades, defense policymakers have been trying to improve how defense agencies use their budget authority to obtain the goods, services, technologies, and systems that allow the US military to prevail in battle. As the campaign to reduce waste and to enhance productivity of the defense acquisitions continues into a new era, NDIA has been a leading supporter of acquisition reform initiatives. By convening stakeholders and industry leaders, consulting with Congress on reform proposals, and publishing original research-based reports, NDIA plays an important role in the dialogue on the future of the defense acquisitions process.
