Curt Beckemeyer is SVP and Deputy CEO with Applied Research Associates (ARA), a 100% employee-owned • technology company dedicated to solving critical national problems to improve our safety, security, and way of life. As Deputy CEO, Mr. Beckemeyer has span of control for $700M in annual revenue and over 1,900 dedicated engineers, coders, and scientists providing a diverse breadth of S& T services and software and hardware product development for both the public and private sectors. In this capacity, he also directly oversees ARA's very successful commercial renewable fuels licensing business (originally developed for the US Navy) as well negotiations involving royalty free government purpose rights agreements.

Mr. Beckemeyer joined ARA in 1992 as a senior engineer and was promoted into increasing roles of responsibility and leadership throughout his career. For 20 years, Mr. Beckemeyer led ARA's Transportation & Infrastructure practice, making ARA one of most highly recognized infrastructure R&D and technology deployment companies in North America. More recently, Mr. Beckemeyer led ARA's Advanced Technologies Sector, a technically diverse business unit of innovative professionals specializing in critical technologies, such as space domain awareness, next-generation weapon system design, weapon-effects modeling and simulation, high fidelity digital engineering, weapon system testing, directed energy systems, emergency management analysis and planning, robotics, contingency airfield management, and biofuels. Additionally, Mr. Beckemeyer served as President of two ARA wholly owned subsidiaries, Geo-Marine (2011-2013) and Reusable Respirators LLC (2020-2023).

In addition to his leadership responsibilities at ARA, Mr. Beckemeyer served on ARA's Board of Directors from 2012-2023. As an ARA Director, Mr. Beckemeyer leveraged his business and financial acumen in serving as a member of the 401(K)/Deferred Compensation Committee and as the Chair of the Board's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Committee, where he played a key role in ARA's conversion to a 100% employee-owned S-Corporation in 2015.

Mr. Beckemeyer is a registered Professional Engineer in 13 states, and he has over 35 years of engineering experience, with expertise in infrastructure evaluation and design, forensics, asset management, risk analysis, value engineering, and technology deployment. He also has expertise in negotiating and developing technology license agreements, leveraging his technical knowledge, business acumen, and risk management expertise.
