Bio
Dr. Suzette Johnson serves Northrop Grumman’s SpaceSystems sector as a Northrop Grumman Fellow and Emeritus
Technical Fellow. Suzette works across the organization and in concert with the divisions
and business units to support programs and functions in
the adoption and implementation of Lean Agile principles, processes, and digital capabilities. As
a Certified Agile Enterprise Coach and a government Scaled Agile Program Consultant Trainer,
she has an interest and passion for driving Lean-Agile adoption to achieve better mission
outcomes.
Her initial experience with Agile-related practices began nearly 25 years ago with rapid product
development for a commercial company focused on financial and enterprise management
systems. With over 15 years’ experience, she has supported more than 100 Northrop
Grumman internal, federal, and Department of Defense programs, domestically and
international, supporting their transition and maturation of Agile principles and engineering
practices.
Suzette Johnson has co-authored multiple papers and a best-selling book on Industrial DevOps
focused on expanding Lean, Agile, DevOps and digital capabilities into cyber-physical systems.
She is currently serving the industrial community as NDIA Systems Engineering Division, vice
chair and co-leads the NDIA SED Agile committee.
She received a Doctorate of Management Technology at the University of Maryland with a
dissertation focused on investigating the Impact of leadership styles on software project
outcomes in traditional and agile environments. She most recently completed a certificate
program from MIT in Digital Transformation.
