Bio

John Driessnack is an expert in Systems, Portfolio/Program/Project, and Performance Management.  His focus is on the US federal government, with deep knowledge of the Department of Defense (DoD) Decision Support Systems (D2S2) and acquisition policy and processes. A retired AF Lt Col, John Driessnack was a major (ACAT 1D) lead program manager for the Global Broadcast Systems.  His experience includes numerous other major defense programs (DATSA/MATE/B-1, ASPJ/F-16, V-22, IMDS/GCSS-AF, Weather systems, F-35, Military Health System) and numerous Intelligence Community and Federal programs.  He runs the sole proprietorship, Olde Stone Consulting LLC, where he currently supports SAF/AQX on DAF Reoptimization for GPC and general SME for the AQX team.  He consults, writes, and lectures in focus areas of the Federal Government decision process for capital investment and has worked on ISO Standard for WBS and ANSI Standards for Program and Earned Value Management. His area of interest is working with institutions experiencing complex and wicked challenges.   

John is a faculty member at the University of Maryland’s Project Management Center of Excellence, where he focuses on Multidimensional Portfolio Management. He also teaches at the American University School of Public Affairs. He is currently the President of the College of Performance Management (2022-2024) and the Executive Librarian for the recently established Gloria and Hans Driessnack Digital Library. https://www.linkedin.com/in/johndriessnack/
