Mr. Ron Fizer is the Counter Threat Fellow for ARServices, providing his technical and analytical expertise to solve the complex problems related to Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Defense. A wide range of clients consistently seek out Ron for his technical expertise and exceptional ability to lead teams, rapidly develop actionable assessments, and implement integrated solutions that improve readiness and reduce risk.
Prior to joining ARServices, Mr. Fizer spent 6 years with LMI assisting clients across the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security to address a wide range of CWMD and CBRN challenges. He is a retired U.S. Army Colonel who served over 30 years in various command, staff, and leadership positions with tactical, strategic, and institutional support organizations across the U.S. Army, Joint Staff, and Secretary of Defense Staff. His experience spans assignments across the United States and abroad in Germany, South Korea, Kuwait, and Iraq. He also helps promote education and networking between government organizations and industry by leading the CBRNE Industry Group as its Board Chair and serving as the Director of Programs for the National Defense Industrial Association’s CBRN Division. These efforts support strengthening the CBRN Industrial base and compliment his work to improve the United States CWMD and CBRN Defense capabilities.
Mr. Fizer is a Distinguished Graduate of the National Defense University’s Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy where he received a Master of Science degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Science and a Master Degree in Public Administration, with emphasis in Environmental Science Management. He has published numerous articles on various CWMD and CBRN topics; providing recommendations and provoking dialogue on how to address these challenges to National Security.
