MAJ Kenneth Moran is a Nuclear Medical Science Officer in the U.S. Army with 25 years of active-duty service. He current serves as the Executive Officer for the 1st Area Medical Laboratory at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. His previous assignment includes, Director of Health Physics at the Army Public Health Center, Health Physicist for Nuclear Disablement Team 3 at 20th CBRNE, and Chief of Health Physics at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. MAJ Moran has worked extensively in the Health Physics field in both garrison and operational assignments. He’s served as the Radiation Safety Officer on two Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) materials licenses. MAJ Moran has participated in and developed training for multiple CBRN response units to include National Guard Civil Support Teams, Chemical Biological Incident Response Force, National Technical Nuclear Forensics Ground Collection Task Force, Radiological Advisory Medical Team, and the Special Medical Augmentation Response Team. He holds a Masters in Health Physics from Oregon State University, is a Certified Health Physicist and a Registered Radiation Protection Technologist.
