Dr. Hone is a Microbiologist with decades of experience in bacteriology, virology, immunology, vaccinology, genomics, proteomics and medical countermeasure (MCM) development. Presently, he is Chief Scientist in the Vaccines and Therapeutics Division and Lead of the Medical Futures Team. In this role he oversees a portfolio of basic research efforts. Most recently, he was the architect of DOMANE (Discovery of MCM Against New and Emerging threats), which advances innovative model systems, platform technologies and capabilities that accelerate MCM development and harnesses alternative models to assess pathogenesis and drug effectiveness. In addition, Dr. Hone is also Regulatory Affairs Lead for the Joint Science and Technology Office for Chemical and Biological Defense. <br> <br>
