Terry Hebert (last name is pronounced “A-Bear”) is a US Navy Veteran with over 25 years in the IT field.  He works at Centurum, a small prime Defense Industrial Base contractor with 300 employees and five offices.  He oversees both IT operations and information security throughout the organization.

Since 2017 Terry has participated in the DIB DoD Cybersecurity program.  He was one of the first small organizations participating in the program and during this time was recognized as a voice for the SMB community concerns.  In 2019 Terry started to lead the Small Business Working Group.  He then co-established the NDISAC SMB working group in August 2021.  

Through the NDISAC SMB Working Group he has led the collaboration with other SMB organizations to submit comments to the Federal Register on “Barrier Facing Small Businesses Contracting with the Department of Defense”. He was also a co-author of SMB white papers “Managed Service Provider Shopping Guide”, “Supply Chain Security Handbook” and the “C3PAO shopping Guide”.  In 2023 he was elected to the NDISAC Board of Directors.

His years of hands-on technical experience, cybersecurity knowledge, and leadership role as small business prime contractor gives him a unique perspective on compliance and security concerns for small business.
