Bio

Lt Col Dylan A. Reed is now assigned Deputy Program Director for the Collaborative Combat Aircraft program, Advance Aircraft Division at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He supports the Next Generation Air Dominance Family of Systems by managing the application of agile and digital acquisition approaches into the Division’s portfolio. He has a strong technical background and has held acquisition positions of increasing responsibilities throughout the Air Force.

Lt Col Reed received his commission from the United States Air Force Academy and graduated with the class of 2005. His first assignment was to the 780th Test Squadron at Eglin AFB, FL as a test engineer supporting Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground munitions testing. He was then hand-selected to support classified test programs for four years at a data masked location.  Lt Col Reed was next assigned to Detachment 1 of the 645th Aeronautical Systems Group, also known as Big Safari, where he was stationed for four years in Denver, Colorado. After leaving Big Safari, Lt Col Reed was stationed in Washington, D.C. supporting multiple programs at the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office. Subsequently, he was selected to serve as Executive Officer to the Air Force Director of Test & Evaluation, located in the Pentagon.  

Prior to his current position, in 2020 he was board selected to became Materiel Leader for the Joint Advanced Tactical Missile (JATM) program. He led a 136-member Air Force/Navy/contractor team integrating the JATM onto multiple aircraft platforms and leading performance modeling and simulation.
