Bio

Mr. Benjamin’s permanent position is the DEVCOM AC Senior Scientific Technical Manager for METC Technical Planning & Execution.  In this role, he serves as an METC Technical authority and manages, directs and leads the technical planning and execution of the METC mission and programs.

 

Currently, Mr. Benjamin is the DEVCOM AC Acting Executive Director of the Munitions Engineering and Technology Center (METC) responsible for management, direction and administrative/technical supervision of an interdisciplinary technical staff of 1200 people, with 277 facilities and a $600M. He manages full life cycle research, development and engineering activities across a broad portfolio of more than 40 munitions-related core competency areas.

 

Mr. Benjamin has served over 39 years as a Civilian in the Department of the Army.  He has held numerous leadership roles throughout Armaments Center and the Joint PEO for Armaments & Ammunition. Mr. Benjamin holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.  Career awards include the DoD Service Award and recipient of the NDIA Firepower Technology Award.
