Bio

LTC Joshua Headley is a native of Kansas City, MO. He attended Lindenwood University on a football scholarship and commissioned in May of 2003 through ROTC. His first duty assignment was a rifle platoon leader in Baker Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th IN Regiment, 101st ABN DIV. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 2005 – 2006. In April of 2007, he was given the privilege of commanding Easy Company 2-506th IN. While in command, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2008 – 2009.

Following command, LTC Headley returned to Fort Benning, GA to attend the Maneuver Captains Career course, and was subsequently assigned to the 1st Battalion, 196th infantry Regiment, Fort Shafter Hawaii serving as the Battalion Operations Officer. His battalion was charged with the mobilization, training, and deployment of the 442 IN BDE in support of combat operations in the Philippines and Iraq respectively.

Following the S3 assignment, LTC Headley attended the Army Acquisition Basic Course and was assigned as the Test/Evaluation Officer for the Distributed Common Ground System – Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC). Following completion of Intermediate Level Education at Redstone Arsenal, LTC Headley was assigned to serve as the Assistant Product Manager for the Joint Battle Command Platform (JBC-P). While at JBC-P, LTC Headley was responsible for leading the Operational Test and First Unit Equipped (FUE) efforts. Following the completion of Advanced Civil Schooling at the University of Delaware, LTC Headley served as the Executive Officer for the Deputy for Acquisition & Systems Management (DASM). Subsequently, LTC Headley served as an Army Fellow with Amazon Web Services. While at Amazon, he learned industry leadership and best practices. Following his fellowship, LTC Headley’s served as a military assistant to the Secretary of the Army.

His most recent assignment was serving as the Product Manager of the Next Generation Weapons program. LTC Headley holds a BA in Finance from Lindenwood University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Delaware. LTC Headley’s awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, Iraq and Afghanistan Campaign Medals, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Ranger Tab, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Combat Infantry Badge, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.
