Bio
LTC Thomas Beyerl earned his commission in 2004 as an Armor Officer from Norwich University, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Upon completion of the Armor Officer Basic Course, he deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Scout Platoon Leader with 1st Squadron 61st Cavalry Regiment, Fort Campbell, KY where he later served as a Troop Executive Officer.

In 2008, LTC Beyerl attended the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course at Ft. Benning, GA, and deployed as a Combat Advisor in support of the Afghan National Army in Herat, AFG. He then served as a Battalion Planner, and later a Stryker Rifle Company Commander in the 1st Battalion 38th Infantry Regiment at Fort Lewis, WA.

In 2012, LTC Beyerl assessed into the Army Acquisition Corps with assignment at Program Executive Office Soldier (PEO Soldier), as an Assistant Product Manager for Maneuver Targeting Systems, responsible for laser target locators and rangefinders.

In addition to completing the resident Army Command and General Staff College, LTC Beyerl holds a Master’s of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Southern University. His published research includes tactical applications of micro-grid power generation, advanced diesel combustion, and autonomous vehicle navigation.

In 2017, LTC Beyerl went on to serve in the Army’s Asymmetric Warfare Group (AWG), where he held positions as the Test and Evaluation Officer, Chief of Concepts, and Group Executive Officer. His areas of special emphasis include counter Unmanned Aerial Systems, Subterranean Operations, and Electronic Warfare integration at the Brigade Combat Team and below.

LTC Beyerl then served as a Proponency Officer under the Director of Acquisition Career Management (DACM).

In 2021 LTC Beyerl assumed responsibilities as Product Manager for Mobile Electric Power Systems. In this role he is responsible for developing and delivering all Army and DoD standardized power generation and distribution capabilities.
