LTC Michael White leads Product Manager, Petroleum and Water Systems (PdM PAWS) – a component of PM Force Projection, PEO CS&CSS, located at Detroit Arsenal, Warren, Michigan. He is responsible for the materiel development of 14 Army programs in acquisition ($982M, FYDP 26), as well as the fleet management oversight of 23 Army programs in sustainment. Collectively, these programs modernize the Army’s liquid logistics capabilities that provide operational reach, freedom of action and endurance to our land combat forces.

LTC White began his military career in November 2000 when he enlisted in the Maryland Army National Guard (MDARNG). In August 2003, he earned his commission as an Armor Branch Second Lieutenant from the traditional Officer Candidate School, 70th Regiment, MDARNG. In 2014, LTC White assumed Active-Duty status through his selection to the ARNG Title 10 Active Guard-Reserve (AGR) Program.

LTC White has previously held a variety of command and staff positions including Tank Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, Tank Company Commander, Assistant Battalion S3, ARNG Systems Coordinator, ARNG G-6 Assistant Portfolio Manager, Assistant Product Manager - Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense Sensor, Executive Officer - ARNG Acquisition Management Office, and FA 51 Proponency Officer - Army DACM Office.

He has deployed overseas, most recently with the Pennsylvania ARNG in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2005 to 2006, and with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in 2013.

His military education includes Basic Combat Training, Armor Officer Basic Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, ILE-Common Core, How the Army Runs Course, Army Acquisition Professional Course, and the FA 51 Intermediate Qualification Course. He is currently enrolled in the Army War College - Distance Education Program, Class of 2025. His civilian education includes a B.S. Mechanical Engineering (1999) from Virginia Tech, and a M.B.A. (2009) from Vanderbilt University.

As a Citizen-Soldier, LTC White also has 10 years of civilian service as an Imagery Analyst with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Presidential Management Fellow with the Department of State, and Patent Examiner with the Department of Commerce.
