Bio

Mr. Kyle Bruner is currently assigned as Project Manager (PM), Force Projection.  He recently served as Product Director (PdD) Paladin, within PM Self Propelled Howitzer Systems, as part of Program Executive Office (PEO) Ground Combat Systems (GCS). Additionally, he served as Deputy Product Manager, Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicles, as a developmental assignment following his completion of the Senior Service College Fellowship (SSCF).  

Mr. Bruner previously served as Program Officer, U.S. Army, PEO Combat Support and Combat Service Support (CS&CSS), with program management responsibilities within the Allied Tactical Vehicles (ATV) Product Office (May 2016 – July 2018).  Mr. Bruner was responsible for several Foreign Military Sales projects supporting Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan (CSTC-A).  This included delivering vehicle platforms such as the Mobile Strike Force Vehicle (MSFV), Medium Tactical Vehicle (MTV), Light Tactical Vehicle (LTV), and rebuilt High Mobility Multi-Purpose Vehicle (HMMWV) with armor as well as a separate contract for maintenance support and training.  From February 2014 to April 2016, Mr. Bruner completed the Army Acquisition Fellowship (AAF) Competitive Development Group (CDG) Program rotating through PEO CS&CSS’s Heavy Tactical Vehicles Product Office, Assistant PEO Business Management, and the office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Programs, Plans, and Resources (DASA PPR).  Between September 2009 and January 2014, Mr. Bruner served as the Systems Acquisition Manager within Joint Program Office (JPO) Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles and as an Assistant Product Manager (APM) within Assured Mobility Systems responsible for both new vehicle production and block upgrades for the RG-31A2 Route Clearance Vehicle.  He also led Engineering and Manufacturing Development activities as APM for the Explosive Hazard Protection (EHP) Program. 

Prior to his service as a government civilian, Kyle worked from 1999 to 2009 as a project manager on various projects at Chrysler to include Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Assembly, Powertrain, and Stamping Training supporting new vehicle launches.  He also served as an instructor at the Chrysler Quality Institute supporting Chrysler Development System training to Chrysler employees and suppliers.  

From 1992-1999, Kyle served as an Active Duty Army Aviation Officer holding positions including Flight Detachment/Airfield Executive Officer and Commander, G-3 Air, Brigade and Battalion Staff Officer, and Platoon Leader.  Mr. Bruner continues to serve today as an Air Force Officer and member of the Michigan Air National Guard’s 110th Attack Wing in Battle Creek, MI.  He has had multiple active duty activations and deployments supporting Personnel Recovery and Command and Control for CENTCOM, USAFE, and AFAFRICA missions.

Mr. Bruner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a Master of Science in Global Leadership from Lawrence Technological University.  He became a member of the Army Acquisition Corps in January 2012 and holds an Advanced Certification in Program Management.  His military training includes Initial Entry Rotary Wing, Airborne, Aviation Officer Basic and Combined Logistics Officer Advanced Courses and the Air Force Air Command and Staff College.
