Bio

Tara Trumbull is a Senior Principal System-of-Systems Architect with 25 years of defense engineering experience with Raytheon, an RTX company.  She currently serves on the board of the NDIA Air Combat Survivability Division, while at Raytheon she serves as the System-of-Systems Architecture Section Lead in the Integrated Solutions Modeling & Architecture Directorate.  She is also the Lead SoS Architect for a portfolio of Raytheon efforts related to air combat survivability.

Tara's career in engineering has spanned the defense product lifecycle from proposal through production, beginning with parametric analysis, performance simulations, electro-optical sensor modeling, and image processing algorithms, and eventually leading to novel architectures and system solutions.  She now focuses on kill chain technologies, survivability, digital engineering, open architectures, and system-of-systems architecture.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Optical Science from the University of Arizona.
