Herb Schweiter graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1990.  He was subsequently commissioned in the Marine Corps where he served for 21 years as a Communications and Information Systems Officer.  He participated in operations at the Battalion, Expeditionary Unit, Expeditionary Brigade and Expeditionary Force levels, to include multiple Amphibious Ready Group, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom deployments, retiring in 2011.  For the last 13 years, he has been a systems engineer within the Department of the Navy, working principally in the area of naval and joint C4ISR integration.
