Bio

Special Agent Glen R. Gibson is the Deputy Director of the Office of Security and Counterintelligence (OS&CI) for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). OS&CI protects the NRO’s employees and programs from physical, technological and intelligence threats ensuring the success of the NRO mission. Prior to this assignment, SA Gibson was assigned as the Deputy Director to the Department of the Air Force’s Office of Special Investigations (OSI), 3rd Field Investigations Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio Lackland, Texas which provided specialized law enforcement and counterintelligence capabilities in the forms of polygraph, crime scene and digital forensics, strategic surveillance, expert all-source analytical products, technical services and cyber threat pursuit to OSI field units.

SA Gibson entered OSI as a direct hire after graduating from The George Washington University with a Masters in Forensic Science in 2004. He was subsequently assigned to OSI Detachment (Det) 805, FE Warren AFB, Wyo. where he conducted criminal and counterintelligence investigations. During this time he also deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  After completing formal language training in 2010, SA Gibson was assigned to OSI Det 614, Yongsan Army Garrison, Seoul, Republic of Korea (ROK) where he managed national level liaison with host nation partner agencies and oversaw all counterintelligence efforts. In 2012, SA Gibson was reassigned to the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Legislative Liaison, Pentagon where he led strategic engagement efforts with Congress on behalf of Air Force Senior Leaders and in furtherance of Air Force priorities and the President’s budget. In 2015, SA Gibson returned to OSI as the Chief of Internal Investigations, OSI Office of the Inspector General.
