Bio
Ms. Martina Miles Johnson serves as the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Research & Development (R&D) Operations and Integration.  In this role, Ms. Johnson leads (or coordinates) ManTech programs (valued at $49M) that develop manufacturing capabilities in support of the Defense Industrial Base. These programs include Castings, Forgings, Batteries, Microcircuits, Additive Manufacturing, Military Uniforms and Subsistence.  Martina also serves as Deputy to the DLA Principal on the Joint Defense Manufacturing Technology Panel (JDMTP), Senior Advisor on the DLA-USACE Partnership Advisory Committee.  She executes requirements that meet internal and external stakeholder engagements to include Industry/Collider Days, MSC an J codes, Strategic communications, RDT&E MS AZURE and AWS Cloud Environment implementations, and establishment of a DLA Partnership Incubator to support  Academic, Industry, and Services joint project efforts. 
Prior to this role, Martina was the Program Manager for Records Information Manager (RIM) directorate who successfully led the organization in the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Inspection. Martina also served as the Contingency Operations Portfolio Manager and Program Manager for the Department of Defense’s (DOD) Joint Contingency & Expeditionary Services (JCXS) Program at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The Contingency Operations Portfolio consists of a number of applications and projects that provide rapid acquisitions and logistics support for our nation’s warfighters in the field as well as the DOD enterprise. JCXS is an Information Technology (IT) platform that currently serves over 1,200 users across all service components and COCOMs. Theater Contracting Commands and over 40,000 Host Nation vendors from around the world access the JCXS website for accurate and up- to-date contingency business information. Under Ms. Johnson’s leadership for the past 8 years, JCXS has expanded from one web service application to 10+ systems across the entire program. Ms. Johnson served in the public sector for over 10 years with CACI as the Standard Procurements System (SPS) instructor and integrator in which you migrated legacy Services acquisition systems into SPS in support of DoD wide procure to pay mandate. At IBM, she served as Program Manager for supply chain management for DoD wide implementations.

Ms. Johnson has influenced technological policy that has benefitted DOD as a whole, including inclusion of the rapid deployment capability as captured by The Commission on Wartime Contracting Report and the Gansler Report. Ms. Johnson began her DOD career as an Adjutant General (AG) in the U.S. Army in 1989. After over 20 years of distinguished service, she’s a respected Operation Desert Storm, Bosnia-Hercegovina Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operations Enduring Freedom (OEF) Veteran.
