COL Dean M. Hoffman, IV, USA (Ret) is the Cofounder and President of Accel Innovation Corporation (AIC). AIC is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business that helps bring industry’s most innovative technologies and government requirements together through business and management consulting services; along with serving as channel partner.

Prior to establishing AIC, Dean served over 30 years in United States Army in both Special Operations and Government Acquisition, with a majority of that time focused on supporting rapid acquisitions. Dean has over 20 years of senior executive experience leading complex and diverse organizations ranging from a small organization of 38 to 11,546-personnel. During his service, Dean’s teams were recognized by the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Acquisition, Logistics and Technology) as “Project Manager Team of the Year” and “Product Manager Team of the Year” while serving at Project Manager Soldier Protective and Individual Equipment (PM SPIE) and Product Manager Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance Systems (PM MARSS). Dean has served internationally numerous times, to include both Iraq and Afghanistan. His last four years of service was as the Joint Special Operation Command (JSOC) Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Innovation.

Dean is an innovative thinker and problem solver that is known to build successful teams through networking, communication and mentorship. As a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Scrum Master, Dean understands process improvement and when to take calculated risks to streamline processes that exceed customer’s expectations. He holds two Master’s degrees National Resource Strategy from Eisenhower School and System Acquisition Management from Naval Postgraduate School. In addition, he has Bachelor’s degrees in both Business Administration and Economics from Lycoming College. He currently serves on two Non-Profit Organizations Board of Directors and holds Top Secret clearance with Full Scope Polygraph. 

Dean and his wife Angela, and two daughters currently live in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling the world.
