Tom Wilson is corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman's Space Systems sector, a space and launch systems provider serving national security, civil and commercial customers.
Wilson oversees the strategy, capture, design, build and delivery of space-related systems to government and commercial customers around the world both as a prime contractor and as a supplier. Space Systems provides unrivaled end-to-end mission capabilities and cutting edge technology across all space and launch domains including integrated deterrence; next-gen missile defense; launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; satellites, spacecraft and associated components; payloads; and ground systems.
Wilson most recently served as vice president of Space Systems’ Strategic Space Systems division, and previously served as vice president of Strategy and Business Development for Space Systems as well the President of SpaceLogistics LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman.
Prior to Northrop Grumman’s acquisition of Orbital ATK in 2018, Wilson served as Orbital ATK's Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the Space Systems Group. He also served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Civil and Defense division for the Orbital ATK Space Systems Group. Wilson held numerous senior leadership positions at ATK, prior to the Orbital merger, including vice president and general manager of the Space Systems division at ATK Aerospace Group and vice president of Strategy, Business Development and Advanced Systems for the Space Systems Group.
Wilson has held key management positions throughout his career at Northrop Grumman, Orbital ATK, ATK and Swales Aerospace and has more than 15 years of government experience with the Department of Defense.
Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Maryland
