Bio

Ted Jung is the Senior Scientific and Technical Manager (SSTM) for Combat System Architecture at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) for Program Executive Officer Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS).

As SSTM, Mr. Jung is leading the strategic vision and technical oversight for Surface Navy Combat System activities.  He is providing expertise at PEO IWS & NSWCDD in areas such as combat system design, architecture and element system integration. The SSTM also serves as a consultant and expert advisor to PEO IWS, NSWCDD Commander, Technical Director and senior leaders across the Navy.

Mr. Jung brings more than 30 years of experience in combat systems to his current role. Serving previously as the Chief Technology Officer in Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems, he lead efforts to provide warfighting capability through science and technology investments for combat management systems, sensors and weapons. Jung is regarded as an expert on all phases of acquisition and combat systems development, with significant technical leadership experience in the development, deployment and sustainment combat system warfighting capability.

Mr. Jung started his career at NSWC Crane Division. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is DAWIA certified Level III in Program Management, Engineering, and Test & Evaluation.
