POST 2022 Health and Safety FAQ

NDIA will continue to monitor and evaluate our COVID-19 guidelines and follow CDC, local and state legal requirements. Note: This is subject to change as guidelines are updated.

Will proof of vaccination be required to attend POST 2022?

Yes, NDIA will require all attendees to provide proof of full vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 48 hours of badge pick-up. Details for securely providing vaccination or negative test documentation will be provided shortly. Note: COVID testing and any results thereof is the full financial responsibility of the attendee.

What requirements do I need to follow to travel to Hawai'i?

In addition to event requirements, the state of Hawai’i requires a negative COVID-19 test result or proof of U.S. vaccination to be uploaded to the Hawai’i Safe Travels Platform prior to departure to avoid quarantine. The state of Hawai‘i is in alignment with federal international requirements for passengers flying directly into Hawai‘i from an international destination and there are no additional State of Hawaiʻi requirements. Details can be found here.
NOTE: It is the international attendees' responsiblity to know the COVID protocals when returning to their home countries. 

What is NDIA's mask policy?

At this current time, the state of Hawai’i requires all attendees to wear a mask while indoors no matter what attendee’s vaccination status is. NDIA will have a limited supply of face masks available but recommend bringing your own for comfort and convenience. Attendees should keep their masks conservative, professional, and in keeping with dignity and respect. Face coverings with demeaning or derogatory logos, profanity, offensive script or imagery, or political dissent are not authorized. NDIA staff will wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.

Will NDIA require attendees to sign a conference waiver to attend POST 2022?

Yes, all registrants are required to sign the COVID-19 waiver prior during the online registration process.

What protocols can I expect to see at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort?

Will social distancing be implemented?

Additional distance between all individuals will be implemented in meeting rooms and social events. Please restrain from handshakes and embracing as an extra precaution as well as following CDC’s guidelines. Consider using digital alternatives to share contact information. Ample hand sanitizer stations will be available; please wash your hands often, cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or elbow, and stay home if you are sick. 

How will meeting rooms be set up?

Attendees can expect to find socially distanced seating with one entrance and one exit to each room, as well as increased cleaning protocols.  Q&A segments for the open sessions will utilize Sli.do or similar applications to eliminate the sharing of microphones or question cards.

When can I pick up my conference badge?

Registration badges will be distributed at low touch/contactless stations utilizing pick-up time slots or other means to effectively limit crowds during the designated registration hours. Clearly marked lines with social distancing decals will also be set up to direct one-way traffic flow.

Will conference attendance be limited to a certain capacity?

NDIA is following—and will remain in compliance with—all city, state, and federal guidelines. If the direction from federal, state, or local official public health authorities’ changes, NDIA will adhere to the new guidance. Currently, Hawai’i is recommending six (6) foot social distancing for indoor events.

How will food be served?

Food and beverages will be safely packaged or distributed for minimal contact and will be managed by trained staff wearing proper PPE. Seating will be physically distanced and outside when possible. Grab and go food selections will be available. NDIA has implemented pre-packaged food options to minimize touch points.

Will live streaming be available?                                                                                                                                                                          

Yes, attendees unable to travel to Hawai’i will be able to live stream the open sessions (March 7-8) as well as view the recordings for up to thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the conference.
