Health and Safety FAQs
Safety protocol will follow NDIA’s Meeting Guidelines which will meet or exceed state guidelines. NDIA will continue to monitor and evaluate our COVID-19 guidelines and follow local and state legal requirements.
Will proof of vaccination or a negative test be required to attend?
Yes, all attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 72-hours of onsite badge pick-up.
What is considered fully vaccinated and which vaccines will be accepted?
An individual is considered fully vaccinated 14-days after the second dose of a two-dose vaccine series (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca-SK Bio) or 14-days after a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson/Janssen).
What type of COVID test will NDIA accept?
NDIA will ONLY allow Rapid Antigen, Rapid PCR, and Regular PCR. Proof of antibodies will not be accepted.

How will NDIA collect vaccine/negative test information?
NDIA will be using the company SafeExpo for collecting information. SafeExpo WILL NOT save this information. Once the document is verified, it will be deleted.
How do I upload my information?
Upload your information by clicking here. You will then select the event that you will be attending and will follow the prompts to submit. NOTE! If you are attending multiple NDIA events and are fully vaccinated, you can select your first event and will only have to submit your vaccination card once.
What is the deadline to submit proof of vaccination or a negative test result?
Information must be submitted 48-hours in advance to guarantee that documentation will be verified. If you don’t submit 48-hours in advance, you will need to bring your documents with you to be verified on-site.
I missed the 48-hour deadline, will NDIA accept a picture of my vaccination card on-site?
We recommend meeting the 48-hour deadline to avoid delays at registration, but NDIA will accept a picture of your vaccination card if all information is legible.
Will NDIA require attendees to sign a conference waiver to attend the conference?
Yes, all registrants are required to sign the COVID-19 waiver during the online registration process.
What is NDIA's mask policy?
NDIA follows CDC and state guidelines. Currently, it is recommended that fully vaccinated attendees wear a mask indoors, but they may choose not to. Fully vaccinated attendees, as of November 8, 2021, will be able to indicate vaccination status during the registration process or on-site. (Note, fully vaccinated includes two (2) weeks following the final dose of any of the FDA approved vaccines). All attendees that are not fully vaccinated or do not wish to disclose that information will be required to wear face masks. NDIA will have a limited supply of face masks available but recommend bringing your own for comfort and convenience. Attendees should keep their masks conservative, professional, and in keeping with dignity and respect. Face coverings with demeaning or derogatory logos, profanity, offensive script or imagery, or political dissent are not authorized. NDIA staff will wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, dependent upon vaccination status, CDC Guidelines and comfort levels.
Will social distancing be implemented?
NDIA is planning additional venue space to allow for attendees to spread out and reduce crowding. Please restrain from handshakes and embracing as an extra precaution as well as following CDC’s guidelines. Consider using digital alternatives to share contact information. Ample hand sanitizer stations will be available; please wash your hands often, cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or elbow, and stay home if you are sick.
How will meeting rooms be set up?
Attendees can expect general seating at a variety of distances to accommodate attendee comfort levels with one entrance and one exit to each room, as well as increased cleaning protocols. Q&A segments will utilize Sli.do or similar applications to eliminate the sharing of microphones or question cards.
When can I pick up my conference badge?
Registration badges will be distributed at low touch/contactless stations utilizing pick-up time slots or other means to effectively limit crowds during the designated registration hours. Clearly marked lines with social distancing decals will also be set up to direct one-way traffic flow.
How will food be served?
Food and beverages will be safely packaged or distributed for minimal contact and will be managed by trained staff wearing proper PPE. Seating will be physically distanced and outside when possible. Grab and go food selections will be available. NDIA has implemented pre-packaged food options to minimize touch points.
