COL Christopher Budihas, USA
Director, Maneuver Battle Lab, Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate
The Maneuver Battle Lab (MBL) at Fort Benning, GA, conducts prototype experimentation (through Live and Constructive simulation venues) to critically support the broader Enterprise (Army Futures Command, PEO/PM, Army Combat Capability Development Centers, Cross Functional Teams, and others) to ensure the right capabilities are delivered and concepts tested to influence the Army of today and into the future. The goal is to test capabilities early by putting new technologies in the hands of soldiers and formations to get critical feedback from the warfighter so that the Army delivers the requisite solutions needed by those in the Operational Force. Through modeling and simulation (M&S), the MBL tests concepts to ensure that Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) are organized and equipped to fight and win, now and in the future. This presentation showcases the capabilities of the Maneuver Battle Lab, outcomes that impact the force, and venues available to industry to get soldier feedback on the performance and military utility of their technology.
