Mr. Jeffrey T. Gossel, a Defense Intelligence Senior Leader, is the senior intelligence engineer, Space and Missiles Analysis Group, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

NASIC is the Air Force and Department of Defense Center of Excellence for all-source air and space intelligence. NASIC supports Air Force and joint operational, acquisition and policymaking customers in America's senior intelligence community. The Space and Missiles Analysis Group is the intelligence community focal point for the analysis of foreign space, counter-space and ballistic missile systems.

In his technical director capacity, he provides technical oversight of analysis and production on foreign spacecraft; space launch vehicles; space object surveillance and identification; space order of battle; counter-space systems and kill chains; and medium, intermediate and intercontinental range ballistic missiles. He also provides scientific and technical expertise to the development of policy decisions that contribute to the satisfaction of national, Department of Defense, and Air Force intelligence products and services.

Mr. Gossel also serves as chairman of the Defense Intelligence Space Threats and Operations Committee, where he leads defense intelligence-wide analytic efforts spanning space and counter-space analytic issues.

Mr. Gossel has served in a variety of assignments within the intelligence community during his Air Force career, to include an assignment as squadron director for the Space Analysis Squadron, Space and Missiles Analysis Group, NASIC. In this capacity, Mr. Gossel led 100 technical and intelligence analysts responsible for the center's foreign space capabilities analysis mission to include intelligence providing space situational awareness assessments for NASIC and the Air Force.
