Why should you attend?

Did you know that Congress and the President have passed a $716 billion-dollar defense budget for 2019?  This is the largest defense budget in history!  The time is now to act on  learning more about doing business with agencies located on the Rock Island Arsenal or contract opportunities issued by these agencies.  

The IA-IL Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is hosting the 12th Annual Midwest Government Contracting Symposium, Presented by the  Quad Cities Chamber / Illinois Defense Industry Adjustment Program.

What's Different in 2019?

2019 offers a condensed 2 day format and still delivers the valuable content you expect.  The planning team is adding new elements and opportunities for government contracting including:

- Integrating EAGLE/Industry Days into the 2-day Agenda
- Adding contracting opportunities for the Food Service and Transportation Industries 
- The Advanced Planning Briefing for Industry (APBI) requirements element to be focused on Q&A 
- Attendees will gain access to a broader community of government and industry personnel
- Content will include government/industry panels discussing hot topics
- The Wednesday evening Networking Reception will be held at the Rock Island Arsenal Museum.  Plan to attend to network with senior RIA Leaders!  Transportation included.

What makes this symposium unique from other such events? The variety of product and service opportunities covered and the access to senior leadership from these requirement and procurement agencies.  Key personnel and contracting staff from these agencies will be on hand for networking and connecting.

The Midwest Government Contracting Symposium planning team is excited to announce the 2019 KEYNOTE SPEAKER on Day 1 - Mr. Joshua Frank, RSM Federal.  Mr. Frank's presentations will share award winning techniques and strategies that have directly helped small businesses win more than $2B in government contracts.  The topics that Mr. Frank will delve into will be applicable for both small and large businesses, so bring your notebooks and prepare to take some notes!

 Topics include:

- How to Competetively Respond to a Sources Sought (SS) and Influence the Aquisition.  (This one involves ghosting and promises to be a powerful session!)
- Advanced Teaming Strategies to Accelerate Small Business Government Revenue.

Exhibitors will be able to set up on Tuesday, May 21 from 4P-6P during early registration.  All exhibit booths must be set up by 7AM on Wednesday May 22.

Exhibitors may move out on Thursday, May 22, after 1:30PM, but are welcome to stay throught the afternoon sessions.  

The TaxSlayer Center will accept shipments for exhibit materials between May 13 - 21, 2019.  It is the shippers responsibility to request materials upon arrival, use the address exactly as stated below, and ship for appropriate arrival dates.  Please bring your tracking information.  Exhibitors are responsible fo the return shipping.  Please bring a label and your carrier information to call  for return pick up.
