Description
2019 ROTC Scholarship Awards Campaign
The Washington DC Chapter is kicking off its annual ROTC Scholarship fundraising campaign for 2019 and needs your and your company's continued financial support! The recruitment and retention of quality individuals to serve in our Armed Forces continues to be of paramount importance, especially in light of the momentous changes that our Armed Services will be facing. Our nation is blessed with patriotic young Americans who continue to join our volunteer military, and our Chapter is pleased to honor the best and brightest with contributions supporting their career choice. We hope that your continued support of local ROTC Cadets and Midshipmen will play a part in demonstrating to them how much we appreciate what they are preparing to do for our nation.
Our merit-based scholarships are designated for "high potential" ROTC Cadets and Midshipmen in the Washington, DC, Metropolitan area. Last year, we were fortunate enough to receive generous personal and corporate contributions from our Board of Directors, as well as from individual Chapter members and non-Chapter individuals. This year, we will offer scholarships based on what we have collected. In past years, our target has been $35,000. The number of awarded individuals will be dependent on what we receive. Historically, our target has been seven individuals who are awarded $3,000 each alongside seven individuals who are awarded $2,000 each.
Your contributions – both personal and corporate – are fully tax-deductible by law (NDIA's tax ID is 53-0196547).
You can make your check(s) payable to NDIA Washington, DC, Chapter Scholarship Fund and mail to:

We are recognizing all contributions received from individuals and companies at each monthly board meeting and at our quarterly luncheons, including our awards luncheon in the Fall. Approximately 220 senior Department of Defense executives, government officials from the Executive and Legislative branches, and industry executives attend these luncheons. We want to make sure that you and your company are properly recognized for supporting this important initiative.
