Systems Interface and Cognitive Processing
SI&CP initiatives support human system needs through the development of seamless human-machine interfaces that learn, maintain and leverage rich models of their users over the course of numerous interactions. SI&CP technology will enable warfighters to engage in natural and efficient collaboration with autonomous systems, decision-support technologies, and human teammates, leading to reduced cognitive burden and increased mission effectiveness.
This track invites submissions that address current challenges and ongoing or future research efforts in areas including natural human-machine interaction and teaming, cognitive & neurological models, integration of artificial intelligence and human cognitive models, and trust in automation. Approaches that emphasize Verifying and Validating (V&V) resultant technologies against standards or requirements are encouraged.
