Personalized Assessment, Education & Training
Research and development in personnel assessment will produce integrated measures and adaptive testing for more precise assessment of individual potential, yielding improved personnel selection and assignment. Meanwhile, work in education and training will produce competency-based systems grounded in quantitative metrics to enable personalized, proficiency-based training to accelerate acquisition and enhance operational performance. The end results is more capable warfighters with decreased training costs.
This track invites submissions that address current challenges and ongoing or future research efforts in areas like the science of learning, affective computing, content authoring tools, natural language dialogue, adaptive and interactive scenario-based training; persistent, affordable, integrated training; and leadership development. Submissions that explore training methods and technologies in terms of reduced cost and increased training complexity or in terms of using new technologies as a force multiplier are highly encouraged.
