Empowering Leadership: NDIA Taps Audricia "Driece" McKinney to Head Women in Defense
(Arlington, VA) The National Defense Industrial Association proudly welcomes Audricia "Driece" McKinney as the new Executive Director of Women In Defense (WID), an NDIA affiliate dedicated to supporting the advancement of women across all areas of national security.
In her new role, McKinney will oversee the 21 chapters of WID as the organization continues to provide opportunities for networking, education, and career development, while honoring women’s achievements through awards and scholarships.
“I’m truly honored and excited to join Women In Defense, an organization with such a meaningful history of bringing people together and supporting professional growth in the defense and national security community,” said McKinney. “The mission of fostering collaboration and innovation really resonates with me, and I can’t wait to contribute to this amazing group and help carry forward its legacy of leadership and mentorship.”
McKinney began her distinguished service in the U.S. Army in 2002. Throughout her career, she held pivotal leadership roles, including serving as a senior advisor in the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense and director of communication for Army Futures Command.

McKinney earned her bachelor's degree from Norfolk State University, followed by master's degrees in information resource management from Central Michigan University and public relations management from the University of Maryland University College.
Under McKinney’s leadership, Women In Defense aims to expand its impact, empowering more women in defense and national security to reach new heights in their careers.
