NDIA Issues Statement on Release of DoD’s Final Rule on CMMC

(Arlington, VA) The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) has released the following statement on the final rule for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) 2.0:

“NDIA appreciates the efforts of the Department of Defense to address the threats to the U.S. economy and national security posed by ongoing malicious cyber activities. NDIA and its member companies are fully committed to securing the data and systems that power the defense industrial base (DIB), as well as the platforms, infrastructure, and services that support our nation’s warfighters.

The release of the final CMMC program rule presents a dramatic impact on the DIB, including small businesses and nontraditionals. NDIA will continue to assist our member companies with information and resources, and fully engage with the Department as the program continues towards implementation to ensure we are focusing resources and efforts on protecting the critical information and systems that truly matter.”
