ARLINGTON, VA – The National Defense Industrial Association and members of the Acquisition Reform Working Group submitted the annual packet for the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2021, the Arlington, Virginia, nonprofit group announces Friday, Sept. 25.

Some of the themes covered include: comprehensive reforms to weapon systems acquisition; improvements to commercial-item procurements; and enhancing public-private partnerships to support warfighting capabilities. The 18-page packet contains numerous, additional matters highlighting the importance of streamlining acquisition and ensuring that we continue to have the strongest military to secure future generations.

The ARWG associations applaud the vital efforts of the House and Senate to improve strategies, capabilities and acquisitions to support national defense. NDIA appreciates the bipartisan work on these important matters and hopes these positive conversations can lead to stable and predictable funding for our military’s needs.
