Potential Government Shutdown
Without companion legislation passed in the U.S. Senate for the recent House bill providing a short-term continuing resolution, the U.S. Government will effectively shut down at midnight on Friday, January 19, 2018. As a shutdown can have onerous effects on U.S defense contractors, some of our member companies may have questions regarding what a government shutdown is, what effects a shutdown may have on contractor operations, and what steps are appropriate to respond to a shutdown. To help answer those questions, the NDIA Policy team put together a brief frequently asked questions paper, including links to additional resources.
